Reverse engineering and 3D printing in Uddingston

A worn, broken or obsolete part can stop a machine, vehicle or piece of equipment in Uddingston. HW3D recreates it from the part itself, photographs or measurements. We are based in neighbouring Bothwell, Glasgow, so drop-off and collection can be arranged by agreement, and we serve Lanarkshire and the rest of Scotland.

Replacement parts for worn, broken or obsolete components

We 3D scan the original with a Revopoint scanner, rebuild it as CAD in Autodesk Fusion 360 and print prototypes on Bambu Lab printers until the fit is right.

Once the replacement is proven, the same part can be ordered again whenever you need another.

Example: a replacement GPR battery cover

SurveySolutions needed a replacement battery cover for a Leica DS2000 ground-penetrating radar unit. HW3D collected the damaged cover, reverse-engineered it from photographs and measurements and delivered a 3D printed replacement in under 72 hours, saving over £350 compared with the OEM replacement.

Jigs and fixtures

If a task on your bench or line needs a guide, holder or fixture to make it repeatable, we design and print one to suit.

When you need more than one

Batch runs range from 10 to 10,000+ parts, with no tooling fees.
