3D printer repairs, servicing and support

Mobile catchment: Bothwell & Glasgow area

Mobile repairs, servicing and on-site help are local to Bothwell and the Glasgow area. Send your town and postcode so we can confirm whether a visit is available.

Our standard local callout covers up to 15 minutes each way from Bothwell. Not every Glasgow postcode is within this catchment; all visits require confirmation.

Outside our mobile area? We still offer repairs and servicing. You will need to arrange getting your printer to us in Bothwell, either by an agreed drop-off or a suitable courier.

Contact us before travelling or booking a courier. We will confirm that we can accept your printer, discuss safe packaging, and agree delivery and collection or return arrangements. The full address is shared privately after confirmation; please do not arrive or send a printer unannounced.

Request a printer service enquiry

Start your printer service enquiry. Choose your exact printer model and the services you need. This is a request for review, not a confirmed appointment or payment.

Enable JavaScript to use the enquiry form, or contact HW3D directly.

HW3D provides practical repairs and routine servicing for Bambu Lab printers, plus quote-only call-out repairs, remote support, setup, and help or training at customer premises. Other makes require individual review. HW3D does not claim to be Bambu-authorised.

Services and prices

Standard test filament and routine cleaning supplies are included. Parts and any delivery costs are extra. Mobile visits require local postcode confirmation; customers outside the area arrange transport to us. Complete customer pricing is confirmed before booking or approving additional work.

Routine-service checklist and limits

The model-appropriate routine checklist covers accessible dust and filament-debris cleaning; the accessible filament path, extruder and hotend condition; belts, movement components and accessible fixings; lubrication only where the manufacturer specifies it; suitable build-surface cleaning; relevant calibration checks; a short test print; and a service summary.

A routine service excludes fault diagnosis, repairs, extensive disassembly or calibration, electronics or board-level work, liquid damage, modifications, firmware updates, account access, long unattended tests, replacement parts, and accessory or non-printing-module work unless expressly agreed. No hardware is changed automatically.

For a service plus hotend request, provide the exact printer model and hotend compatibility or SKU. Availability and pricing must be confirmed and approved before a part is ordered or fitted.

Tell us the hours since the last maintenance, or state that the hours are unknown. There is no fixed universal maintenance interval. Follow the printer manufacturer's published guidance; any HW3D suggestion is optional and based on the model, use and condition, not presented as a verified manufacturer rule.

Diagnosis and approval

The £25 diagnosis remains payable if you decline further work. Repairs require an estimate or agreed spending limit. One hour of total labour including diagnosis, plus a £20 part, costs £65; after a £25 diagnostic payment the balance is £40. Parts and work outside the agreed scope require approval first.

Appointments, drop-off and mobile access

  1. Send every printer's exact make, model, symptoms, maintenance hours or unknown, and requested service.
  2. HW3D reviews model support, part compatibility and the suitable service.
  3. For mobile work, HW3D manually confirms travel eligibility, parking, safe access, workspace, power and any stairs or lifting constraints.
  4. For drop-off work, wait for appointment confirmation. Drop-off and collection are appointment-only at private premises; the full street address is shared privately after confirmation. It is not a public walk-in, customer waiting or training location.
  5. Approve additional work or parts before HW3D proceeds.

Do not visit or send a printer before confirmation. Remote sessions and all customer-site visits also require confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

Can you help if I am outside Glasgow or Bothwell?

Outside our mobile area? We still offer repairs and servicing. You will need to arrange getting your printer to us in Bothwell, either by an agreed drop-off or a suitable courier. Contact us before travelling or booking a courier. We will confirm that we can accept your printer, discuss safe packaging, and agree delivery and collection or return arrangements. The full address is shared privately after confirmation; please do not arrive or send a printer unannounced.

Which printers do you support?

Bambu Lab printers, including older models, are supported subject to exact-model and fault review. Other makes, specialist electronics, accessories and non-printing modules require individual review. Model support does not guarantee every fault can be repaired.

How long will work take?

An estimated assessment or service date is given when confirming an appointment. Completion depends on the fault, availability and parts supply.

What if repair is not worthwhile?

You can decline and pay only for diagnosis or other work already agreed.

Will firmware, settings or hardware be changed?

Significant changes require approval. Firmware updates and hardware replacement are not automatically included in routine servicing.

What should I provide?

Usually the printer, build plate and power lead, plus relevant accessories, filament, failed-print photos or errors. Requirements are confirmed first. Never send account passwords.

Can I wait during drop-off work?

No. There is no public waiting area. Guided help is available through remote support at £20 per 30 minutes or the separate on-site help and training service from £60 locally.

Can you repair my printer at my home or business?

Call-out repairs are available by individual quote for suitable faults at customer premises in the confirmed Bothwell / Glasgow mobile area. Labour, travel and any parts are agreed before a visit is arranged. Some repairs may need drop-off, and HW3D cannot promise every fault can be fixed on site. Call-out repairs are separate from £90 mobile routine servicing and hourly on-site help or training. Customers outside the area can still arrange to bring or send their printer to us.

What if the same issue returns?

Contact HW3D with the job reference. One short follow-up conversation about completed work is included. New faults and unrelated training are assessed separately; issues with completed work are investigated.
