Bring us a worn, broken or unavailable component. We turn the evidence you have into a part you can validate, order again and put back to work. HW3D is based in Bothwell, near Uddingston, Glasgow, serving Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Scotland, with UK-wide and worldwide supply.

We 3D scan parts with Revopoint scanners, rebuild them as CAD in Autodesk Fusion 360 and print prototypes and replacements on Bambu Lab printers. Once a part is proven, repeat batches range from 10 to 10,000+ parts, with no tooling fees.

Measure or scan → CAD → prototype → production

Scanning records surfaces; CAD reconstruction separately addresses missing geometry, interfaces, wear and tolerances. A scan is not automatically an engineering-ready file.

We discuss function, replacement reason, dimensions, quantities, material, heat, chemicals, UV, load and cleaning exposure. Prototypes must be validated before production.

CAD delivery and IP arrangements are agreed in the quote. Safety-critical, regulated, pressure, food-contact and certification-related requests require human suitability review.

A clear scope before work starts

Start with a free 15-minute suitability call. CAD and engineering starts from £80 per hour, normally supplied as a scoped estimate or fixed stage. Prototype and manufacturing costs are quoted separately. Site visits, measurement and travel are agreed and charged separately. Design ownership, IP, deliverables and any NDA are agreed in writing before the relevant stage begins.
